Job Overview: The Montana Chemical Dependency Center is the only in-patient chemical dependency treatment center administered by the state. We serve individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed as having an addiction to drugs or alcohol or who suffer from both addiction and mental disorders. Responsibilities of the Treatment Technician include: 1) Communicates with patients to understand needs and assists with activities of daily living; 2) Records patient data such as behavioral observations, vital signs, symptoms, ect; and 3) Gathers information for patient admissions and inputs into the system. Essential Functions (Major Duties or Responsibilities): Patient Care Services Assists patients with activities of daily living. Observes and records patient data such as behavioral observations, vital signs, symptoms, etc. Obtains routine lab samples not requiring laboratory personnel. Monitors patients during structured and unstructured activities as assigned. Performs assigned housekeeping duties. Participates in meetings providing input on patient progress in treatment. Patient Admission Gathers information for patient admissions. This process includes; but limited to, establishing patient's chart's, completing release of information, searching patient's belongings. Conducts and records breathalyzer tests, records vital signs, and weight. Conducts patient orientation which includes a tour of the facility and guidelines. Other Duties Assists patient with treatment assignments. Provides patient transportation to defined destination. Conduct approved life skills and patient activities as assigned. Performs additional duties based on treatment team needs.
